The world champion, the strongest so far this season altogether with Adam Ondra … Back-to-back world cup winner, three silver medals, Europe champion …

His performances level is as surprising as his track record: He’s been always at DRM, an unmissable waypoint since 2005; resin winner two years ago, also winner at Baltzola in 2005 & 2006. Patxi has been so far the only climber capable to sight a 8c+ rock route, no doubt Etxauri’s “Bizi Euskaraz” route (“Live in Euskara”) has more than a claim connotation.

After ‘the untouchable’ Francoise Legrand (3 World championships y 5 World cups), the climber from Eibar is the most succesful in history.

Championships:
• 2009: Difficultu world champions, first World Cup winner at Chamonix.
• 2008 European difficulty champion.
• 2007 & 2006 Difficulty World Cup winner.
• Difficulty world runner-up 2007, 2005 y 2003
• International World Games 2005 champion, 2009 runner-up.
• Dima Rock Master: 2007 difficulty winner, 2006 Baltzola winner, 2005 Baltzola winner.
• IFSC World Ranking (pre-Dur&Go): 1º

Rock:
• On sight 8c+: Bizi Euskaraz (Etxauri)
• Tried 9a+: Biographie/Realization (Ceuse-Francia), La Rambla (Siurana-Cataluña), La Novena Enmienda (Santa Lynia-Cataluña)
